Author Topic: PC extremly noisy when playing games  (Read 815 times)

So yeah I dont know why and its getting quite annoying. Any suggestions?

its kinda good. when hardware works harder, the fans auto speed up to keep up with the heat.
i think you can use software like evga's precision to lower the rate at when the fans would turn up, if its not needed.
cuz by default the fans turn up by power usage even if your hardware dosnt need it. so you wanna adjust it to turn up by heat only.

The next thing you know is your computer will melt down through the floor.

USUALLY when a computer suddenly gets a lot noisier its a fan scraping against a wire. Games require more power which uses more heat so the fans will go faster and hit the wire harder.

check internally to see all fans aren't obstructed by anything.  Also blow out any dust.

The only fans that will make too much noise in most cases (without other variables such as dangling wires) are the ones on the GPU. You can usually adjust what speed they run at in your graphics driver utility such as CCC. I have my HD 7870 set to 65% fan speed at all times and it's barely audible while it keeps my card at around +-30 degrees Celcius

I have two fans and they arnt hitting anything but its weird since it really cold in my room and my pc auctally heats my room when/after playing games

Another unlikely problem is your cooler that sits on your CPU is improperly seated or has cracks in the thermal paste and it could be causing it to overheat so your fans go into hyper-drive to compensate.

How can I see that?
My pc being noisy is quite annoying when I want to do non pc related stuff

Open up your pc and clean the dust out the exhaust fans with alcohol swabs and blowing cans of air.
