you literally picked the worst possible languages for a beginner. start on latin based languages, they keep the same characters and are easier.
get the duolingo app. it's awesome for learning languages if you're dedicated.

it's not being deaf that makes him speak like that

it's the combination of being deaf and having some combination of other mental disorders. just deaf people would very quickly learn how to write in standard english.
