Why won't it let me have an avatar?

I click "Browse" then search for my pic, then click that pic, then scroll down and click "Change Profile"  then go back to "Summary" then it doesn't show my pic... I feel like a royal noob posting this because it's probably something really simple...

maximum dimensions are 75x75

Also make sure your avatar is 75x75 in size.  If it still doesn't work then,

clear your cache and try again

does it give you an error
if it does, then try resizing it to smaller than 75x75

You can just find a free program to do them online.  Just Google "resize pictures" or something like that.
