I have Finals Week this week.

What's pretty funny is how everyone is complaining and whining but no one is studying or making an effort to get a good mark.

The only loving "Finals" we get are nothing, pfff.

You know what is the problem with NJ's education system?

They only have one time for a state test. That keeps the teachers and the school loving guessing how hard to teach in one area until they get horrible scores back and demotions.

I have finals as well, but I'm exempt from taking most of them.

This no child left behind act seems to be doing more harm than good. All students are taught these days is how to test, not taught the skills that needed for the work force. Just the skills needed to study and take tests. Things like grammar and writing essays and math have been condensed and dumbed down to the point where you aren't really anything, you guys just spend most of your time cramming material that you probably wont remember next week or next year. A lot of the people entering the workforce lack basic grammar and math, and can't type a resume if their life depended on it.

3 test periods the first two days, 2 periods the last day, everyone goes to lunch at the same time

Yeah that's how it's like here. And I have period 1 (No final!!!!) for 4 hours and thats computer lab so we get free time to forget around on laptops!

back in homeschooling i had one big test the whole school year and it took like, 2 hours bc it only tested over math and english
now that i'm in high school its all this loving TLI testing, 3 days of testing at the end of every semester and they don't even utilize the whole day but instead they choose two random class periods for everyone to go to at the end of the day
just why, why must it be so complicated

we don't use block schedules, we use 8 class periods
it's like 2 hours per testing period
