Author Topic: My Steam file missing  (Read 1121 times)

I seen this when I updated my computer in like early 2013 or late 2012. I saw my steam file is missing. I can't find it but, steam still works but, I can't find it to use mods for games like Half Life 2, Half Life 1, CS:S, TF2, Portal and so forth. They don't have steam workshops on them. Is this a new thing for steam?

The Steam folder is no longer in C:/Program Files*?

*Unless you're using a 64-bit system, in which case it'd be in Program Files (x86)

Ok, to make things tough. I use a Mac.

What steam file?

Where the screenshots, game files, are stored and the file where you can put in mods for your game if they don't have steam workshop.

so, you have seen the folder before and you know where it should be?

edit: what you could do is:
1. right click on any game (if you dont have a right click, control click)
2.click properties on the list
3.click the local files tab at the top of the properties window
4.click browse local files
that should bring you to your steam folder

Go to Library/Application Support/Steam/common

I checked my application support folder and nothing was there.
