Should I get Ubuntu/a Linux OS?

I think it's worth trying out, and if you don't like it then you could always go back to your old OS. I know that I wanna switch to Linux one day just to see what it's like, and if I dislike it then I'd switch to my old operating system.

I wouldn't let your first Linux experience be Ubuntu, I'd suggest you install Mint or OpenSuse, or some other OS with a KDE style desktop. It's very windows-like and in my personal opinion both the GNOME and Unity desktops suck really hard.
