Author Topic: I hate iTunes.  (Read 914 times)

So, I got a new computer for Christmas(yay) so I had to download iTunes so I could sync my phone. iTunes wanted to sync with the phone, and because it was a new computer I told it no, so I could retrieve the songs from my older iTunes account. Instead of listening, it decided to sync and proceeded to erase all my songs. This wouldn't be a big deal if iTunes had not decided to act like I was over capacity when I tried to download the songs again.
when no songs are on my phone, it says I have 200, so it is saying I don't have enough room when I try and download the 400 songs that are on iTunes. Please help.

tl;dr iTunes decided to erase my songs and is now saying I do not have enough space when I try to download them again.

EDIT: I found the problem. For some reason I have 5.18 gigs of OTHER on my phone when you view it from iTunes, now I need help figuring out what the forget OTHER is because it was almost nonexistent before the sync.

If you can handle being nagged by google to join google+
there is google play music

iTunes is a pain to use on a computer, but on mobile devices it's not as buggy.

Its a stuffty software for computers because it is unintuitive and buggy as hell.

Well it's the only thing you can use if you've got an iPod nano like me

The problem is not that I don't have the songs backed up, it is that it won't let me download them again.

Its stuffty because it is intuitive

Intuitive is a good thing.

Soundcloud is not a perfect alternative, but their app does store songs you listen to unless the app crashes
I can't stand iTunes

Are they mp3. files when you download them?

I don't use Itunes so yeh, correct me if im wrong

If so, can't you put the mp3. files in your phone and do it that way?

nvm didn't pay attention to the posts

Other is possibly app data... try deleting useless apps?

I fixed it by resetting it, but it was loving dumb.
