Author Topic: Annual reminder on how Bethesda forgeted up Fallout aka Fallout 3 tl;dr  (Read 7288 times)

I'm pretty sure that Night Fox doesn't have any intent to take the Fallout games seriously. Therefore he is a casual.
If you're playing games in a serious way, you're not playing games correctly.

you are a casual though. i never said being casual was necessarily bad but it is in this case it is because it's encouraging bethesda to water it (a old, mature series with deep themes, unique art style, and good writing) down for people like you.
everything that you said describes someone who is casual about it. you don't take it seriously, it's as simple as that. i never told you to stop playing it tho, gg putting words in my mouth.
in other words, you want bethesda to make games for a minority instead of everyone else?
also
Play GTA or Postal 2 or something if you want to kill random people, but don't ruin this loving series.
It means you have no opinion about Fallout lore and story.
yes, I do. my opinion on the lore in fallout 3 is that it's boring and generally bad. therefore I don't care about it

I want bethesda to make a game based off their own loving opinion. Not everyone else's opinion. If you cater to every loving casual gamer your game will be watered down.

Fallout was made for pen and paper roleplayers, it was a niche game to begin with. Some of us just want to see a game about wasteland politics, the clashing ideologies. Real life problems like rape, drugs, gambling, slavery, prostitution, crime, punishment, war, and political struggle. Those are the core elements. It was never about exploration of crumbling cities, wastelands, or finding the best plasma gun or a generic story of good vs evil, no.

Casual gamers like Night Fox don't give a stuff about that. He just wants to play CoD clones.
