Should I get this: http://goo.gl/85J0lu, or just buy all 3 of the consoles it can use separately? I watched some reviews on it and it's pretty good according to them, just the controllers are stuff.

would buy all seprately

i have that. why on earth you would wanna use the old ones i wouldnt know. they cant even play the games very well. the 3rd party ripoffs run any cartridge no matter how dirty or beat up it is.

For $50, of course! Way cheaper than the 3 consoles separately, works way better because it's new, the controllers look nice, console looks sleek.

Why not just use emulators for PC?
Even Badspot made one for the NES.

It's not as satisfying when you know it's emulated. It's hard to hold up a commitment; I've started Zelda OoT and MM on an emulator and I was never motivated to get very far. Plus, legitimate controllers on a TV!

Yeah, commitment it's true.
Also your "controllers" are 3 controllers from 3 different consoles that does not work or look or feel like any of them.
Except the Genesis, it is similar to that.

that wasn't an emulator

Playing an NES and using an emulator are extremely different.

The retrons don't all use original hardware afaik, so getting the 3 separately would be your best bet.

I personally buy real stuff over the Retron 3 for a couple reasons. While the 3rd party console is nice, it's not up to the build quality or compatibility of the originals

*Using the real hardware gives you a more "authentic" and genuine experience.
*Add-ons such as the Game Genie or Sega 32X are not compatible with the Retron3
*Buying consoles from Amazon or Ebay often come packaged with the legitimate controllers, rather than having to buy them sepearately.
*Reasons already listed by the people above me~

I wouldn't worry about the fact I can't use the 32X. Also, I don't mind buying the controllers separately.

if you are referring to having to clean cartidges. or blow on them. then yes.

the new ripoffs arent just popping the old hardware in new cases. they are made new and modernized. they simply work everytime. all the time.
