Try to disconnect and then connect the power cable. You may ned a new power cable, that's what happened to mine, I had to unplug and then plug back in my power cable on boot cuz it wouldn't boot

I never said it doesn't boot. The drive works perfectly well. It has a few bad sectors but I have everything on it. I was worried in 2007 about those noises but now, I don't give a damn. 10 years and it still didn't break.
