If 10% of all people who play games are stupid (I host a server.  10% is loving generous), then if before STEAM we got 10 new people per week, we would get 1 new idiot per week.  New, with STEAM, if we're getting 100 new people per week, we get 10 new idiots per week.

I have no idea how accurate these numbers are, I'm just making a point.

Before Steam we got about 10 new players per day, not week.

Fair enough - except for "ridiculous death threat" which is itself ridiculous. Orbiting a black hole isn't fundamentally different from orbiting another object of the same mass from the same distance. If the Sun spontaneously collapsed into a black hole, the only negative effects on the Earth would be from the sudden lack of energy from the Sun, not from the newly realized black hole itself.
