hit all rocks with shovel. each day there is a rock that shoots out money, and a fake rock that explodes to reveal a gemstone.
fish often, talk to villagers often, catch bugs often, dig up everything and donate them to the museum and if you get a duplicate sell it. always sell at the recycle shop or whatever, bring an apple to club LOL every day, update your dream town every day, and, most importantly:
make the town ordinance bell bloom, then at 7:00 pm go to the island and then catch the huge bugs that appear on the palm trees. also, while you're there, take some foreign fruit and plant it in you village.
check the island's store also. get a wetsuit and a piece of paper that lets you go online with other people on the island. there's also minigames you can play at the island, where you can also find more foreign fruits.
also dont eat perfect fruits there are no perks this is coming from experience.
