the weird harmless mini death star was a surveillance satellite make by moon stuffs, it was bright because it was a fake star. it "disappeared" because it went very fast, HALF THE SPEED OF LIGHT. they also give you the ability to make self sustaining space colonies and stations, it works by melting available ice into purified water and grabbing nutrients and blabla, so it would be a good idea to be near some kind of orbital body, including large asteroids
all your economies magically get slightly better
ill work out how to mark up who owns what in space but for now just state you put a base or whatever (be warned, this stuff is expensive to do and you also got to work up how you're gonna get there)
