Author Topic: Town leaders want to get tough on tobacco  (Read 2490 times)

I'm sorry if the tiny bit of toxic air I exhale a few times a week drifts out of my backyard into your general vicinity. I never said there shouldn't be laws about where you can smoke. I like the idea of being able to enjoy a meal or visit a park without having to deal with tobacco.
Alright, cool.

Problem is that cigarettes are bad for people around the user as-well, and usually children who don't have a choice.
Not e-cigarettes. Banning those makes no sense at all.

This is true. At best, e-cigarettes are unpleasant to nearby people. Banning e-cigarettes because they're unpleasant is like banning loud talking or acting obnoxious. It should work the same way as everything else works, if you're on somebody else's property they can ask you to leave if you refuse to comply with their rules.

i'm laughing because OP makes it sound like a bunch of town leaders are conspiring to go bully and beat up tobacco

or to be "tough on tobacco" to make it a strong and capable adult
