Cant Connect to some servers

I've been having a problem about a week and it's been pissing me off so i try to join some servers with my friends but i cant join my friends can but i cant and i have no idea what is causing it so if you have any ideas please help

Problem on the server side. The host didn't port forward.

Problem is that the Blockland server list doesn't refresh often, so you may sometimes try to go on a recently colsed server.

bump. I know this is old but I've had this issue while trying to connect to particular servers from a certain location for like 4 years.

I often can't connect to some of the best blockland servers from this location (like Bushido's, ANT's, and now Deadzone's).

I know other people are on the servers while I can't connect, which tells me that the servers were not recently closed and that the host must have port forwarded, since other people can join. Plus, it will usually be only certain people's servers that I can't connect to.

I've forwarded my own port and checked my firewalls. I think it must be something with my router but I'm not sure.

Actually, I think Greek2Me is correct. I didn't realize that people could join a server without the host port forwarding, so I'm guessing the host needs to port forward AND disable UPnP in order for me to join.

If it doesn't work from a certain location, it is possible that the signal is being blocked by an other firewall.
A firewall from the location itself.

This is being used by businesses, airports and stuff like that.
It can be controlled by the ISP or even a server on the location that redirects networking traffic.

I haven't used Firebind, but it looks like it should work.
Although, you may have to create an account.

Found the issue thanks to Greek2Me.

Hosts must disable UPnP before booting their server in order for me to be able to join.

Now my question is, what makes me different than those who can still join the UPnP enabled servers?
