There are new games
Please tell if you know of any

Get Battlefield 2. You'd have to download a few maps, maybe a single player mod, and edit the ai file to have large scale battles, but it's worth it.

CnC games, Chivalry, AI War, Frozen Synapse, Greed Corp, RUSE, Civilization games, Worms.

yeah bf2 is really good even with just bots

Pretty sure Timesplitters 2 could have bots only.

CnC games
Also known as: watching bots send sizeable armies at eachother once, and then keep sending only one soldier ever after.

It gets pretty intense like that y'no.

DEFCON.

It's especially fun watching 4 v. 1 as you spectate. Give the solo bot Russia, and watch as the rest of the world decimate the red army with thousands of nukes.

Sure, the first battle is fun. After that, they just start stockpiling massive armies in their bases, never sending them to battle. Just.. one or two soldiers every so often.

It's the only way I play Battlefield 2.

It's $19.99 on Steam, but I got my edition from Amazon for $5.

I can't recall there being bots only (but may be wrong), but Timesplitters 2 definitely had a good bot system. It was fun to play games with those.

The original Red Faction was also quite a bit of fun with bots, and they could be on teams too. Dunno if it'll work properly though on PC anymore. It doesn't seem to work on the Steam version.

And Jedi Knight 2: Jedi Outcast had a pretty fun setup for teams of bots. You have to play too, but you can watch from a safe distance.

Lord of the Rings: Conquest is also pretty good if you want bots against each other, but you do have to play too (although it's even easier to stay safe in this).

there was this game with blocks fighting each other. anyone know the name? it was like 4 teams, all different sized blocks that attack each other until 1 team is left. some sort of evolution or something
