Fraps for recording

Adobe After Effects For Editing

If you're willing to pay, get "Action!" Screen recorder
it works great and i dont even have a very great laptop and it hardly effects the fps.

I second this.

MSI Afterburner, DXTory, Bandicam (maybe), x-split, FFSplit, etc...
I use MSI Afterburner, and it always turns out smexy.

I use Mirillis Action, it's really useful and you can even record the entire screen or a selection of it, it also does not affect the perfomance in games like Fraps does and it's also cheaper

100% this. It's completely free and allows you to record videos to your hard drive in great quality!
How? I can't figure it out wtf

When you open it you should see a "Scenes:" and "Sources:" Right click and add a scene, name it w/e. Open the program you wish to record and right click sources add a gaming one and name it w/e. There will be a drop down list of all applications you have open. Select your application. Or you can set it to record your whole screen or a cropped section or w/e by selecting different sources.
