That's because guns in DarkRP have ironsights. If I remember correctly, it shouldn't be possible to fire guns without doing that.

The server we were on had an extreme recoil if you aimed down the sights. it was stupid, but for some reasons, guns had perfect accuracy without looking down the sites too, just no crosshair.

I don't even loving understand what the point is.

The video if you didn't see it

However the point shown in that video is debatable because really it's just a way to
rip off spoiled gamer kids

Wow. inb4 we get CoD tournie players who start a brawl because they weren't allowed their "HIPSHOTDOT" (stupid name too) into the contest.

They are aware most weapons have spread too, right? Unless the developers are weird, very few guns would accurately shoot right down the centre every time.

The only real use I could ever find it for would if you're into quickscoping.

But that's really a small niche of players that could actually benefit from the thing.

I used to use a piece of tape for no-scoping in 1.6, the Scout was a hell of a lot better with it than the AWP.

Most first-person shooters these days have no crosshair for the sniper rifle, giving this a..."purpose." Yeah it's still loving stupid but that's their reasoning.
