Author Topic: Looking for an RCA to HDMI converter  (Read 980 times)

So all I need is something that allows me to hook up old consoles like an N64 to my monitor. I've looked around on amazon, and the ones I found are kinda cheap looking. Give me suggestions.

Not really possible without buying a $50 converter.
Why would you want to play N64 on an LCD monitor anywho?
N64 is meant to be played on CRT TV's.

I don't have a CRT, nor do I have any room for one. I think it would be more convenient for one screen for multiple systems.

or you can y'know

emulator

you own the game so its perfectly legal!

I forgot to mention, I have a Wii which I use for Gamecube games. Most of them are unplayable on an emulator. Metroid Prime has horrid audio issues. Wind Waker crashes very often, and Rogue Squadron 2 is not supported. It's also sometimes awkward playing certain games with an Xbox 360 controller.

EDIT:

Does anyone know if this functions as advertised?

If you want to use the console's controller on a computer there are tons of different usb adapters to do it. Most of them are pretty cheap.

As for the converter, it looks like it has decent reviews so it should work. I'm not sure if changes everything into 16x9 or keeps it 4x3 though so it could make some stuff look weird.

it's perfectly legal if you take the rom off the cartridge yourself
downloading one from the internet is still piracy

I'm pretty sure badspot doesn't care either way, though
