Author Topic: Toontown Bots  (Read 2728 times)

I was looking around in Suggestions and Galleries and got a message from Superbro11. he asked what was my toontown character's name was.
then I got the Idea of suggesting this. here's what I would like the bots to be.

-a Cat, Dog, Horse, Bear & Pig Bots.
-the clothes would be like normal Blockland Characters. (ex. Colored like ours.)
-they make the noises from toontown.
-Walking Animation from the Game.
-(NEW!) Cog Playertypes! Slow, but Health is Determined by the cog type. (Ex. Flunky = 15, Big Cheese = 125.)

Did anyone even play Toontown?

They're good ideas, but I don't think they would work.

Let's get the player models out of the way first.

Doesn't this player model look a bit too complex for Blockland standards? And it doesn't fit with the blocky theme.

Also, it isn't that difficult to make the default player model slightly resemble a Toon. Trust me, I've done it before. I used to host a Boss Battles server, and Flippy was one of the playable bosses. Out of the 5 or so people who joined the server and actually knew who Flippy was, they thought it was pretty accurate.

As for the gags, I'd definitely like to see those happen. But how would Toon-up work? And Trap? Lure? Sound? Drop? Pretty much only Throw and Squirt are do-able without some weird workarounds.

uhh drop would work by droping a item that will crush the player,
sound will hurt people in a radius, lure will work by aiming at a player and has a chance that it will bring the player too you and stay there for a few seconds and will be free if the player gets hit and he will take extra dmg. toon up heals the player with a small cheap joke. trap can work like a mine. im sure all can be done but drop.

Default player model =/= the picture.

If it doesn't matter to you, that's great, but personally I don't want out-of-place playermodels.

yah but I mistook you for the difficult thingy

the sponge bob player model seems out of place but it will resembled blockland

If anyone is curious, here's how I did Flippy on my boss battles server. I don't know what happened to his shirt texture, but I suppose it doesn't matter because only I saw it. I also made ears for him once so he'd look more like a dog but apparently I can't package an add-on correctly.

Inb4 someone asks me to do Toontown shirts and faces. I can actually do these if you want because I have the phase files on hand, but don't expect them to look very professional.

Dude, The Toon-ups, Traps, Lures, Sounds & drops will work like this: (Toon-up = Aim at a Toon and use the Item to heal them.) (Trap = Will work as a brick. the events will already be made. ex. (onPlayerTouch - Player - Addhealth: -45 & onPlayerTouch - Player - AddVeliocity: -jump into air = 20-) (Lure = When Activated on a Player, it will stun them & they will slowly walk forward. + trap will deal damage.) (Sound = once activated on a player, it will play a small animation on them, they will cover their ears. also it will deal a small amount of damage.) (Drop = Will Also Work as a Brick. it will be floating in the air, and once a player walks under it, it will fall on them. dealing MASSIVE Damage.)

So Trap and Drop will work exactly the same? Alright.

Has Anybody made the Playertype of this Yet? or are you guys just ignoring it?

Playertypes are very rarely made because the modelers hate doing the animations.
