Author Topic: Unusual experience- wifi outages only at night for the last couple of days  (Read 468 times)

So, yesterday, and the last couple of days, my house has been having weird wifi outages, except they only happened at night. I checked the router- plugged in, Ethernet and Internet cables plugged in, and I even reset the router a couple of times. Still nothing. Every device connected to it had bars, but it was not loading anything.
So, my dad calls our ISP. They come, check everything out, and deliver a shocking result- the wifi outages were caused by the STREET LIGHTS. The forgeter who designed the street lights didn't take wifi into thought and they interfere with the wifi signals. They emit the same frequency or something like that.
Pretty ridiculous, huh?
The guy fixed it, not sure how though. Probably shielded it with something.

poor excuse for aliens

forgot to mention these were new solar street lights

"hey man, your streetlights forget up our internet"

idk that just sounds weird to me

"yeah uh see those streetlights?
theyre crashing your internet"

okay the guy who i talked to about internet problems said my headset was messing with my wifi causing frequent outages but THIS is ridiculous lol

You can change the frequency that your wifi runs on

Also I'm pretty sure this is bullstuff lol
Unless the streetlights are wireless (why?) there's no way there's interference from that far away, and the tech who came out was looking for a cop-out
