Bring back the anti-federalists.

Everyone should be. If you aren't, you're doing something wrong.

New new imperialism

It's basically just "let me be a person." It gets rid of government subsidies and let's the free market run itself. Instead of raising taxes to not be in debt, they cut programs and lower taxes. We stay out of the business of other countries and protect ourselves from invasion. Less regulations less laws less taxes more freedom

doesn't sound good to me

We very much approve of the "leave me the forget alone" policy.

problems:

no market regulation. aka monopolies everywhere, esp in industries with high starting requirements. in extreme cases this could mean getting rid of regulating organizations like the FDA or the EPA.

ending ALL drug prohibition. i know this has worked in other countries, but i'm pretty sure this is not good for our nation. imo we should legalize possession of all drugs, and criminalize production/distribution of hard drugs like heroin/meth. (non-addictive drugs like weed / acid should be legalized completely)

straight up ending welfare. it sounds immediate and will bankrupt millions of people. there will be major social ramifications. welfare reform is not impossible

what is this education reform that they want? they are very vague about it. it sounds like they want to cut all public education.

i fear that this rampant privatization will go too far, but i agree there are definitely lots of government programs that could be cut

just this little tidbit i'd like to nibble on

The government in itself has set up its own monopolies instead of breaking them up to instigate a competitive market. They're not really doing a good job regulating monopolies in the first place either with all the corporate bigwigs already here making it extremely difficult on smaller businesses.

okay. well i'd prefer change, not really the same stuff. at least there is the possibility of breaking up monopolies under our current system

I would heavily appreciate that if it happened. We seem to get in these indecisive loops in this horrific political cycle.

education would either be privatized or brought to the state/local level.

welfare is garbage. no one deserves to get money that the government doesn't have to give.

full drug legalization can only do good. they know it's bad for them. if they want to do it, good for them. it will also bring a whole new legal market. $$$

big corporations shouldn't be taxed and closely regulated. if they succeeded, good for them. they did it. good work. put your money to good use.

charities would be a big part in making sure homeless people don't just die. think of it as voluntary taxes. if you want to give money to poor people who need healthcare, send it to a charity.
