Author Topic: Goat Simulator's New Update Will Make It A MMO  (Read 2358 times)

It was originally a demo for a physics engine but the devs got such a kick out of it they decided to release it as a full game.
I thought it was to satirize how terrible "simulator" games have been lately

EDIT: "The game, initially developed as a joke prototype from an internal game jam and shown in an early alpha state in YouTube videos,[2] was met with excitement and attention, prompting the studio to build out the game into a releasable state while still retaining various non-breaking bugs and glitches to maintain the game's entertainment value."

yeah, so it was originally a demo that was built into a joke game

The reason this exists is because of demand.
Apparently enough people like it for them to continue developing it.
I don't blame them or the public.
It might not be the best game and the most fun game in my opinion, it is a game and people seem to have fun with it.
That it becomes an MMO is surprising, but i can see why.

i thought this game was supposed to die out

Absolutely handicapped.

This stuff should have died day 1.

can the lets players please not hear about this
i dont want more stuff being spewed onto the Youtube homepage

I recall that most of you thought the game was the bees knees until time passed and then it became literally the worst thing in your eyes.

Don't hate on the people new to the fad just because the novelty wore off and it was no longer cool to play goat simulator, that's just stuffty.

he said to the internet, futilely

goat sim hasn't been relevant in like 6 months

It will be relevant again, even if only for a short while.

It's important to recognize that this is not a work of art. It's just fun. Holding it to any higher standard is both stupid and counterproductive. Just play it or don't.

For anyone that doesn't realize, it's getting an MMO themed level, not actually becoming an MMO.
