even more heinous was when a swat team bust into a 70-year old guy's home unannounced in the middle of the night on the word of a meth-head they picked up. when the 70 year old guy got a gun to defend himself (from what he assumed was an armed robber breaking in) he was shot by the police.

it's bad that there are police who abuse their power out of malice. it's worse that there are police who abuse their power out of stupidity and malice, because those police are more likely to get innocent people killed.
