Dog is fine, vet thinks it's just fine.

That's good.

one time my hair caught on fire
another time i set my microwave on fire trying to cook macaroni

My mom causes most of the kitchen accidents that happen in my house. Mostly in part because she prepares food more often, but she also works too fast and/or clumsily sometimes. I know she has put silverware and foil in the microwave before, which would spark a lot.

my dad was welding in the garage and sparks caught a piece of cardboard on the floor behind him, he was to focused on the work to notice by the time he noticed the fire had spread to about the size where you need water to put it out, by the time he got water to the fire about half of the ceiling tiles and plastic light fixture covers had completely melted and the whole roof looked like honey being poured from 20 different containers
im glad our garage is separate from the house that couldve been a lot worse
no actual structural damage though, just the roofing and a shelf

How does one's chimney catch fire?

Yeah as a previous user said, it was the soot and any other particles buildings up. If chimneys are not cleaned, soot and unburned material will eventually build up and can get hot enough to eventually catch fire, lighting up the entire chimney.

my brother thought it would be funny to not tell me i was laying down next to a candle.
your fault hippie

My microwave caught on fire once
Its ok tho

Was the refrigerator okay?

How does one's chimney catch fire?

Inevitably, chimneys get plugged up with creosote, this is why they need to be routinely cleaned. If your chimney has bad creosote buildup and you start a fire that doesn't burn hot enough or burns too hot, the chimney will catch on fire.

Our neighbor's shed caught on fire and had gasoline and propane tanks in it so it blew up and flames just spiked into the air and it was huge and awesome but terrible. I guess the kids were playing with matches in it. That's the second time they've caught a shed on fire, like seriously.

i haven't really managed to set anything on fire yet, but with my laptop, laptop charger and phone [45 deg celsius at times] heating up for various reasons maybe eventually i'll actually set something on fire
