What is Madness?
Madness, or Madness Combat, is originally a series created on Newgrounds by Krinkels. Since then, it has received many unofficial sequels, games, and even its own day on Newgrounds called Madness Day, and has been celebrated since September 22nd, 2007.

That's great, but what the hell's this thing?
Oh. Right. This. Madness: Project Nexus was also originally a game on Newgrounds. It was critically acclaimed, winning the Daily Feature and a Weekly Users' Choice in 2012. It has a story mode, which has a story, as you would expect, and Arena mode, which allows you to customize your own Grunt and also get new weapons, allies, and other equipment.

Again, I'd like to know what THIS is.
If you were patient, we wouldn't be having this problem. Madness: Project Nexus 2 was/is a Kickstarter project, which was successful, and is now available for preorder. It is a revamped, 3D version of the game, with new modes and new story and everything. The team of developers are The-Swain, Krinkels, Cheshyre, and Locknar, with some of them being developers for the original game.

Alright, what does it look like so far?

Here are some screenshots of the game:

Here's a gameplay demo (click me!).

Aaand some concept art!

Neat! What can you do?

Well...

Will this be on Steam?
Absolutely! You can even join the Steam Group here!

Alright, I'm sold. Where can I deposit all of my money to play this immediately?
Whoa, slow down there, pardner. It's not finished yet. However, you can preorder the game in different tiers and get a bunch of neato stuff for it, like early and alpha access. But if you want to try the original version of the game, then give it a spin! It'll be well worth your time.

Anyways, go ahead and discuss about the game. Post updates n' what not.

that looks loving sweet

holy stuff i forgot all about this

The first project madness game was hard as balls.
Can't wait for this one!

Usually transitioning from 2D to 3D models ends up with kind of weird looking models, but I think so far they're doing pretty well in that regard.

Madness: Interactive will forever be the only game for me.
