Author Topic: Gamemode section is practically dead  (Read 2082 times)

Yeah I'm trying to decide between making a multiplayer server or working on a singleplayer gamemode sort of like Sector E or something.

Why not both?

Co-op campaign! Except, if one person dies, you all die!

Is there a way to actually do that?

Is there a way to actually do that?
of course

if you made the game to work that way

I thought the gamemode system was really nice for creating a tailored experience in a single-player environment. My Imscared gamemode and that Sector E gamemode I think were both great examples of how the gamemode system in it's current form could be utilized well. Maybe I should work on making another single player adventure thing.
real adventure mode

There's also the fact that a good gamemode requires a lot of coding, and a lot of people's coding abilities end beyond weapons and vehicles or maybe small scripts, and not enough to do a large complex gamemode

Is there a way to actually do that?

Im aware the link doesnt work but theres an rtb archive somewhere

the events would simply be onplayerdeath>minigame>reset/end
if you wanted something more fancy put the reset on a delay with some wording before

EDIT: this link should work: http://rtb-archive.host22.com/add_ons/Event_Minigame.zip

http://rtb-archive.host22.com/ is the archive
