It does seem fishy but however I don't know if April Fools is in Japan whatsoever but it could be legitimate due to the insane amount of detail and the amiibo gallery has an origins mode which plays demos of the scanned figure and Nintendo talked about scanning amiibo and unlocking playable demos
focused on that typical character.
