Author Topic: Modelling bricks how?  (Read 4659 times)

I was wondering about modelling for my new Project Payday 2 and so I wanted to model it's standalone bricks.. But here comes a tough question. How do I know the brick's size in the 3D modeller program? I use MS3D. Is there a way I can import a block in there and use it as measuring purposes?

Come on, I really need it.. Please.

I have no idea what the MS3D scale is for Blockland, and can't find it anywhere, though you could model it in MS3D and then load it in Blender and scale it there (one 1x1f in Blender is 1*1*0.4 Blender Units).

Sadly I know nothing about Blender.. Each time I wanted to use it, It didn't work the way it did in the videos. It it's out of the question.

Make a cube and test how big it is compared to a brick

It would take hours and hours of loading blockland, Quitting, Rebooting blockland, Resize, Reboot again.. There has to be a better method.

I hope it wouldn't take hours as long as you make educated guesses on how to adjust the size.

Can I also ask how do I make bricks... ? I mean. I import the dts file, Fine. What then?

Bricks do not use .dts at all. You export your model to the very common format of .obj
Then use Badspot's converter as linked above.
