Author Topic: How can I convince my mother that riding a motorcycle is OK  (Read 1153 times)

if you're a safe driver and don't get into an accident in those two years I'm sure she'd be more willing to let you ride one than she is now

Once you're 18 you can kinda just do whatever anyway.

then wait 2 years to break it to her because right now you're an unexperienced driver and it will just worry your mom more
I just want to let her know that I would probably do this so she won't flip out because I didn't tell her I bought a bike and etc...

I've already told my father and he was OK with me getting a bike but he told me to drive for a few years so basically the same thing I put down anyway but my mom is where I'm worried, she'll think I'm rebelling against her or something because she is anti-gun, anti-violence, and strongly discourages motorcycles. She already knows I'll be enlisting and all that fun stuff

is your mom's name Lois by any chance?

Drive your bike like it's a car.
Don't go driving down the middle of lanes between traffic.
Accidents happen a lot because people treat bikes and cars differently, and often car drivers don't know what a bike is going to do, since they're more maneuverable than cars and can do things you wouldn't expect.

I ride my bike like I ride my women

hard and fast

Better gas mileage
You feel more free I guess than driving a car
Women
Fast
Vroom Vroom

How the forget is your mom still ordering you to do stuff at your age?

you be 18 and buy it for yourself.
dont ask her stuff.

Wear a helmet and protective leather

Tell her you feel like if you get a motorcycle that people won't call you a pusillanimous individual person taking up to much space.

then wait 2 years to break it to her because right now you're an unexperienced driver and it will just worry your mom more
Basically what I was trying to say.
you be 18 and buy it for yourself.
dont ask her stuff.
And yeah you'll be 18. Who gives a forget what she thinks if you buy it yourself.
