Warning: Conga line ahead.

Crypt of the NecroDancer is a hardcore roguelike rhythm game. Everything in the randomly generated dungeons moves to the beat of the game's incredible soundtrack, composed by Danny Baranowsky (most well-known for his work in Super Meat Boy and The Binding of Isaac). You can also set your own custom tracks from your music library if you choose, and keep up with your keyboard, controller, or even a USB dance pad! Miss a beat however and you lose your multiplier and miss your turn...and that could mean your death. Every enemy has their own set movement and attack patterns: Memorizing them and making quick decisions is the key to survival. Don't dawdle; the level only lasts as long as the song!

Ever heard of the "Dragon Dance"?
This...probably wasn't what they meant.

Pick up a multitude of items with different effects and wield a full spectrum of weapons with varying attack patterns. Shoot enemies across the room with a crossbow, attack with the wide swipe of a broadsword, or blast everything in front of you with the coveted blunderbuss. Collecting diamonds scattered and hidden around the dungeon lets you buy new items to appear in your journey to aid you...if only slightly. 10 playable characters provide multiple playstyles: Among them are Bard, who can make each move whenever he pleases, and Monk, who is given a free item from every shop at the cost of being killed when touching gold.

The time has finally arrived, and NecroDancer has reached completion! Things have likely changed since you last heard or played it, and when the official release build is pushed on the 23rd, lots of new things will be added:

- A new final zone
- Three unique final bosses for Cadence, Melody, and Aria
- Some "musical surprises"
- Story cinematics, featuring VO stars from League of Legends, the Dragon Ball Z TV series, and many more
- A new playable character with a nearly impossible playstyle (a combination of Bolt, Monk, and Aria)
- 10+ new achievements
- A new 'Codex' room in the lobby that helps teach the game's higher-level techniques
- A ton of polish, balance tweaks, and bug fixes

Due to the nature of the game, a lot of the appeal come from the auditory end of things. Be sure to check out the trailers or gameplay videos to get a feel for the music!

the neat thing is that you can play to your own songs

I'd like to sincerely apologize if I encouraged anyone to buy NecroDancer in the few hours before release, the thought hadn't even crossed my mind that it could be having a release sale today

That being said, the launch update has been pushed and the game is finally in its completed state!

the neat thing is that you can play to your own songs

Honestly I like the game's music too much to change it, but it's a good feature

Also note that there is a roguelike sale until the 27th, so you can get this for 5 dollars less!

That is to say, I have only enough money from selling cards to get heavy bullets :y

if someone buys me this game i'll give you some hand lovetm by das
