Author Topic: Bought a new key - got sent to the wrong email via amazon  (Read 556 times)

Since I no longer use the email I had all my keys assigned to I decided it'd just be easier to buy a new key. However it was at stupid o'clock so I went the quickest route, through the old amazon account I last used to buy BL - not thinking that the account was tied to the same email address and not realising it hadn't asked for an email. Sure enough, there's now 5 keys sent to recovery instead of 4 to an email I can't access. I can PM the email address (and intended email address) as well as bank statement for the purchase or whatever else is needed.

Thanks for any help, sorry for being a dolt

Try looking for your blockland keys in the amazon "Games & Software Library"; they should be there.

Thanks for the suggestion - I just looked at my amazon account again and it is in fact my current email.. any reason the key would be sent to my older address? I looked in the Games & Software Library but nothing there.. I'm not sure if amazon payments is seperate from amazon as a store

I went through the amazon payment process again up until the confirmation stage and it never asked for an address but there's definitely another key linked to my out of use email address rather than the email used on amazon. I can't find any settings on amazon itself for email addresses either.

If you can prove it, message Badspot.
If not, you're unfortunately screwed. Badspot even said people that don't provide proof are screwed in one post, but I'm too lazy to find it.

Thanks, shot him a PM

This should prove to be useful when you still have access to the key.dat and the computer it was generated on.
