I still don't buy that the *only* aliens that exist out there will be more intelligent and more advanced than us.
Our existence was a very awesome set of near-impossible coincidences that aligned perfectly. Wht's the chances of life evolving on other worlds at a rate faster than us?
I've never heard this claim made, only that if we made
contact with an extraterrestrial species, that they'd
have to have more advanced technology in order to reach us.
