Author Topic: Something is wrong with my computer  (Read 935 times)

okay, so good news is apparently hps do have a near identical error code system, so it doesn't really matter which model it is

bad news is that a single blink/beep means a cpu failure (or possible) memory failure. you can read about error code meanings here: http://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c01732674

so that means that either your CPU became unseated from the socket or it's damaged and must be replaced (unless of course the error your receiving is different than what you said, in which case you should look over the list i linked)

if you need any more help i would also be glad to help you through steam chat or something

Preheat your oven to 445 degrees, while the oven warms up thaw your laptop by running it under cool water then putting in the microwave for 27 seconds and let it sit in there until the oven is heated. Once it reaches 445 put the laptop in the middle rack for 2 hours or until it's lightly browned/golden. Now to add the breading! Remove from the oven(Use oven mitts or you'll burn your little fingers!) and throw it in a puddle of wet cement
Now that you destroyed your laptop buy a desktop

enjoy:D

wow that was very helpful in helping him try to troubleshoot his laptop which has lots of possibly lost data thanks :^)

it does have a lot of data
Also it might be a memory error (hopefully RAM)

Why do I need to be helpful when you already have it handled?
Get off the high horse and let me make stuffty jokes

I don't have any certain fixes and that really doesn't help him

also it's not a high horse I just want to save people from having to pay out the ass for a potentially simple fix

My post was obviously a joke and does no harm to the op unless he actually throws his computer into cement which in that case I'd be super stoked cause that's hilarious

the problem was that it wasn't helpful when the OP is looking for serious help

okay so if you want to see if its memory open the computer and boot it using only one ram stick in both slots, and if it does/doesn't boot try the other ram stick the same way. If one of the sticks allows it to boot then that means it is a faulty ram stick, which means you only have to buy some new ram (hyperx is breddy good if that's the case)

Well, if it's a CPU or RAM failure, the good news is that all of your data is safe on the HDD.  Chances are it's a 2.5" SATA drive which can be plugged into a desktop (or potentially another laptop, but it likely won't boot into Windows because it's different hardware and will be useless). You'll likely need a SATA cable to plug it in.

thanks, I'll try when I get the chance.

best part is, cupcakehat can't take a joke on a forum for games
sure the OP may be wanting actual help
but that doesn't mean we can't say other things besides that
