Something is wrong with my computer

So I was editing my signature when all of the sudden my hp laptop shut off. I turned it back on the screen was all black, nothing happening, then I noticed my caps lock's LED was blinking 3 times in a row. I really need help, a lot of important stuff is on it :(

check power connections and make sure that the computer is totally shutdown, maybe it just locked up or frozen. it may also be a broken screen or you may be the luck recipient of failed HDD number 2 today
