BattleBlock Theater is a platformer title for the Xbox 360, Windows, and Linux. Made by The Behemoth, known for making Castle Crashers and Alien Hominid!
Story Mode: The game follows the story of you, the prisoner, escaping an old, broken, and large theater that you discovered when you shipwrecked there. One of your best friends, Hatty Hattington, was brainwashed by a hat he found near the shipwreck, which starts the events of BattleBlock Theater, throwing everyone from the crew into a prison guarded by large ferocious cats. The stages are literally stages, as you have to progress through each in front of a crowd, in which the narrator from the cutscenes will give colorful and useless commentary as you play.
Arena: Soul Snatcher: Steal enemy soul and run away. Capture and hold the enemy's souls to gain points. Kill a soul-carrier to release their souls to roam the level.
Muckle: Beat and kill the enemy team to earn the players' team points.
Challenge: Score the best time on a given level.
King Of The Hill: Stand on the crown blocks to gain the player's team points.
Color The World: Color more blocks than the other team.
Grab The Gold: Grab more gold from the golden whale than the other team and deposit it in the flying safe to score points for the player's team
Ball Game: Get the ball in the basket.
Capture The Horse: Ride the opposing team's horse to the team's stables to gain points for the player's team.
Apart from the main gain and arena, you also have a Time Attack mode and Level Editor.
