I've got a plasta TV with Homer burnt into it but very lightly. You can't see it unless you have a white background and even then you need to look closely.

What kinda monitor is that. I didnt think that was possible anymore.

Used to be normal for CRT, which is why screensavers were created. I know it can still happen with some newer monitors and TV's, particularily plasma, but I figure that's pretty rare these days.

It used to happen a lot more when CRT monitors were the primary type used which is why we have screensavers. It don't think many modern monitors are still prone to this but I could be wrong.
Max brightness 24/7 can still cause this if I'm not mistaken.

Yeah, this problem is limited almost exclusively to plasma panels now. LCD panels are not prone to image burning.
