Put a white screen in fullscreen for a while and turn the brightness down to the minimum and keep it that way for a period of time.
It will not remove all of it but it will help a bit

It used to happen a lot more when CRT monitors were the primary type used which is why we have screensavers. It don't think many modern monitors are still prone to this but I could be wrong.
