You can replace hard drives on anything. It could be harder on a laptop but it's not impossible. Hell youtube is there for a reason.

Get those external/backup harddrives from your local/online electronic stores such as Frys, Best Buy, Amazon, Newegg, etc.

It is good to have a backup external harddrive

So there seems to be no other solution, it is time for a new hard drive. It is time.

Thanks guys

I just wanted to share "great news".
(I still have same hard drive)

My PC had gotten BSoD when I was trying to do something outside of BL. Obviously after trying to close Windows Explorer, it gets same BSoD.

But then something interesting happens after I restart it
After the following boot animation, my Hard drive makes a noises again and my monitor goes blank leading straight to a smaller BSoD with the error msg this time:
Code: [Select]
VIDEO_DRIVER_INIT_FAILURESo could it be my video driver, or could it be my hard drive... or both!?

It took 2 boots of the same thing, then Windows 10 took me to Repair again and "diagnosed my PC". I went and booted up, and it was normal

no you're getting these bluescreens because the loving hard drive is failing
it has nothing to do with anything else
replace it already

I have to wait for Christmas to get a new Hard drive.
I have a secondary hard drive but would have to put an OS in, but I already have some files in it, to backup my data and other stuff

Ah yes, I remember all of this with a more-than-15-yearold SCSi drive. Good times.
