so this is some info my friend final walrus and i wrote down for a gamemode

we'd like some people to help us out with stuff for it, models, coding because neither of us know how to do any of these things

of course we'll have weapons from other packs so dont worry about weps but we need somebody to help with building. we can do all eventing ourselves. we do have a few items in the doc that would need to be made as well

pm me or add me on steam

is the big monster a player or a bot

a bot
do players ever respawn

this game seems like each round takes a while (which isn't a bad thing)

they respawn but spawns are reaaaaaally far apart, so if one player dies it could take forever to find the other players

and yeah this is made for an organized game of 4 or more people who have a bunch of time on their hands

we have a terrain map generated, we just need the landmarks built for it

So is there even a losing condition?

I can help code some stuff, or build (i'm not the best builder though)

well if we put in lives then the spectators would have to wait forever, and if we don't have lives then you can't lose, it just takes forever to win

actually a long time limit might be good

indeed

i don't like the idea of waiting for a half-hour to play another round

yeah, 20 minute rounds with respawning sounds good, and if you dont kill the bot you lose

Instead of some arbitrary "it ends in 20 minutes" time limit, maybe the big monster is indirectly making it's way to a certain location, in which you have to stop it? Of course, time could be extended by distracting it from time to time. Respawns are nice considering the length of the game, but perhaps with a lengthy respawn timer. Maybe like, 20-30 seconds. Or something that'll make people really not want to die.

this could also work (maybe even better than a timelimit!?) but as long as there's announcements letting players know how close the round is to ending, like a "The Monster has almost reached the [location]!!!" kind of thing

i like both of these a lot

i'm hosting a freebuild on the terrain we're going to be using (primarily) and we're open to using new ideas.
