Escape From Tarkov

Escape From Tarkov is a "hardcore story-driven MMO" that takes place in the Russian city of Tarkov, which for some reason has been sealed off by the authorities and is now a ruined battleground overrun by private military companies and local raiders. It combines elements of shooters and RPGS, and also, as you can see in this "looting and inventory" trailer, looks an awful lot like STALKER. _{PC Gamer}

Yup, A new loving survival game. Basicly DayZ but less stuff and no zombies. When I first heard it I was overhyped and now making this thread. Signed up for the newsletter and beta tho :^)

I'm excited as forget for this game. It's the S.T.A.L.K.E.R./DayZ lovechild I've always wanted.

Though tbh I hope they don't go for the whole player vs everything super permadeath shtick again because it'll cut the customer base in half. DayZ was good for the setting and hardcore survival aspect but the whole getting shot by every starfish you walk within 100ft of thing just kinda sucked design-wise, hopefully this game is more orientated around cooperation rather than mindless looting.

Apperently "the large area" is limited to 46 players iirc, and the "large map" is 16 square kilometers.
Wich makes player encounters "special". But ofcourse like every survival its going to be a shoot on sight.

It looks like ArmA but with survival
And ArmA is great. Ofcourse that doesnt make the game great.
Remember everyone was overhyped for Watch_Dogs but the game was like loving stuff? It might be the case for this too but we'll see. I really hope its going to be a great game and if the beta is stuff I am going to write a long mail to the devs about my opinion and what could be changed.
