I'm surprised there hasnt been a thread on this already, so let me share this with you.

Hamilton is a musical by Lin-Manuel Miranda about the life story of the American founding father and first treasurer Alexander Hamilton. The twist is that it's done all in hip hop style, complete with songs with rapping, some of the smoothest flow Ive heard, gospel styled harmonies, and many other things of that nature. Of course, Its designed with many people being able to sing, providing a pretty unique sound that Ive been unable to get out of my head since I've heard it. As the writer put it, it is the story of old America as told by today's America.
Also, it has scenes where Thomas Jefferson, Lafayette. and George Washington dropping some amazing verses and a couple of scenes with congressional rap battles.
Essentially, if you have any interest in US history or in rap music, then you'll like this play a lot. Heck, you might like it if you dont like either very much.
Alas, I'm probably doing this play a disservice by this long winded sell. The music can speak for itself.
