i removed the decoys
AKA just pulled out v.3
I put in some V.4 sounds, but i didn't put in the loud snap sound. There are was 2 new sounds. I also replaced hello1 and hello2

Completely redo the audio files.

OT: Good scripter would be nice, could include decoys or proxies.....

Cyp your renderman goes away from the map and never spawns. Fix this

I don't know why it hasn't been stated yet but both Cypthon and Ocelotus have 0 coding ability.


I think the renderman should have the following:

  • The Ascii Terror face or maybe an entirely customizeable look (Renderman is based off of the Prepper script, not Grin Man)
  • Different behavior where he does not kill you instantly when you look at him from too far of a distance; looking at him from a far distance for a longer time should make him teleport closer to you.
  • Static that does not completely blind you so fast
  • An option to make him tall or not
  • Aggro bricks/events that attract him
  • A behavior where he messes with your sanity
  • Renamed sound files that are more specific (Such as the beep sound)
  • Completely removed Minecraft sounds
  • More mysteriousness

I second each of these ideas. But, for the first one, there really should be an option for it.

An option to make him tall or not

Nobody would use that option on their server because it makes Renderman look more like a reskinned Blockhead. Also, without him being tall you can troll people by editing your own avatar. Well, you can do that anyway, but without something distinctive it's easier to troll.

I just hope you mean we should use original sounds and you don't mean any offense to Minecraft.

More mysteriousness

He's already mysterious enough, any more "mysteriousness" will ruin it.

I would suggest that Renderman should have a "sanity drain" around a radius - if he's behind you, you will still not be safe even by not looking, this way. It also helps for anti-camping, if anything.

This radius, however, should be in effect only if it would be possible for Render to see the player at that position (fire a ray from player to Render and see if it hits).
On harder difficulty setting, this radius ignores visibility and is bigger/drain is stronger.

Pretty cool idea, huh?

  • Alt enemies with different behaviors.

Alt enemies can be various other ideas. Could have Prepper (acsiiterror renderman) which requires you to look at them, a new enemy pair where you have to move or stop moving, or even an enemy that teleports you to the furthest renderman shrine (needs a shrine to be placed to spawn).

I don't know how that could mean I'm offending Minecraft. I just didn't like how I got so used to the renderman Minecraft sounds, that when I actually played Minecraft and heard the cave ambient, I thought the renderman was there.

I would like renderman to have a custom player type model, or at least custom faces and decals. And maybe you could include a new renderman, like one that spawns, chooses a target, and runs at them and chases them for like, 30 seconds or so.
