http://store.steampowered.com/app/393380/If you don't know what Squad is, the developers of the Battlefield 2 mod, 'Project Reality' are releasing a standalone game of such.
Its a milsim, slightly like the Arma series and Battlefield series combined.
I am in love with this game. The gunplay, community, graphics, all of it. The developers pump out updates like candy. They listen to their community too, which is very nice.
Squad is a 50 vs 50 player game. Your team consists of 'squads' which consist of 9 people or less. There is a commander for each squad. He can communicate with other squad leaders and build stuff. The objective of most servers is to conquer flags. You cannot capture just any random flag, you must do so in order.
THERE IS BASE BUILDING IN DIS GAME. You can fortify a building, turning it into a Forward Operating Base or FOB. You can place down rally points, allowing your squad to spawn on it.
Much like the Battlefield series, if a player dies (that is, 'giving up' without being revived by a medic), you will loose a 'ticket'. Loosing all tickets will cause your team to fail the game.
While you could lone-wolf, it is incredibly difficult as the bullets in this game are anywhere from 1-3 hit kill. Having a medic in the squad is a must.
The gunplay is similar to Arma. While you can't zero scopes, theres bullet drop, bullet travel time, entry, ect.
Is anyone else playing this game? I love it so much
