garry's mod clogging my damn comp

i look in the gmod folder and the damn game happened to use 55 loving gb

how do i remove all the bullstuff addons i dont need and keep the ones i do need without spending hours and hours looking at each and everyone

Unsub from the addons you don't want and delete everything in the addons folder

I don't know if it's a thing in the non-dev version, but there might be a console command to delete unsubscribed addons if there isn't a feature that automatically does that

Try 'menu_cleanupgmas' while on the main menu, that should delete all of the unused GMA files left over from addons you unsubscribed from or addons that were updated

All of the Gmod Tower addons, including the playable piano, minecraft skin, and the trampoline, is 4.15 GB

Also, my Gmod folder is only 9.55 GB with 221 GMA files, so if your Gmod folder is 55 GB, then you need to start unsubscribing from addons you don't need or won't be using any time soon

fun fact: joining any gmod server with downloads enabled downloads said addons and they do not get erased after some sort of expiry.

aka it piles up fast. check your garrysmod/garrysmod/downloads folder.
