Dedicated server lag question

I am thinking to made dedicated server on my another computer: ~1GHz prosessor, 256mb or 256mb+128mb ram and radeon 9600pro, internet speed is 2 Mbps (1Mbps then 2 computer?) Just wondering if it does lag with that kind computer. If does, what kind computer/internet i should have atleast?

Best way to try is to host the server and ask the people who join about the lag.
