Author Topic: Lost all my custom addons  (Read 2371 times)

So I figurered out just now when looking into my Blockland folder that every one of my custom addons and the ones I even took time to make weren't there anymore as if it looked like Blockland was reinstalled, same with my Music and Saves. I'm really pissed off right now and I don't exactly know what caused this. What I remember doing is clearing out my Temp folder recently. Does anyone know what may have caused this? I haven't cleared out my Recycle Bin yet though.

So I also just found out that the 'date modified' for the folder and the files within the folder was 'modified' today

Have you downloaded any sketchy add-ons or add-ons from a sketchy website recently? Have any files in other folders been changed? Did you recently move from launched blockland to steam blockland?

The last addon I downloaded was the Bokeh Dot Particles, I haven't changed any files in other folders I never really use steam bl

you could try running a search for a non-default addon (eg Vehicle_Stunt_Plane) in the directory/user directory and see if it pops up anywhere.

and of course, check recycle bin. run a search there too.

I've already done a check on the recycle bin, and I checked the directories. No luck :(

my only suggestion is right click the add-ons folder and go to properties and hit the tab that says previous versions

Sadly that doesn't work either

Sorry, looks like you're out of luck

How long ago did you have your addons?
If it wasn't that long, you can still retrieve deleted files.

See, the way computers 'delete' files is by changing a bit before the part of the file to mark it as overwritable and make it seem empty.
So it leaves a residue you can still read with certain programs, as long as you haven't overwritten it yet.

I suggest trying to recover it with Recurva

Hope this helps!

I've had them for like maybe for about 1 year, I'm trying Recuva out rn

Sadly Recuva didn't help but I will keep the program, it's pretty neat
