Author Topic: Is playing Blockland away from your house dangerous?  (Read 830 times)

I'm in a hotel in a city 3 hours away from my home. I'm playing BL here and I've heard that playing from different IP's can get your key deactivated. True or Bust?

I doubt it's true unless you do like seven different IP changes in a short time.

Using the same key from different addresses or switching super fast might be bad but you can play anywhere you want.

Well I travel all over the place and its never been an issue. There probably at least 10 ips under my blockland key.

You should be fine as long as you aren't playing from multiple places at once.

Yes, you will get raped

I'm pretty sure badspot does it manually if it ever needs to be done, and he will be able to tell if the time between you having one IP and another is reasonable for the travel distance

If I'm correct the only thing that'd trigger a deactivation would be playing from multiple sources at the same time, or a distance between the IP being to great to travel in the time they've been played on.
For example if I were to play in Florida, then 5 mins later I'd suddenly play from Washington.
It'd be impossible for me to travel that distance in just 5 mins.

I've actually played from plenty of locations, six spots in SC, and two in VA.

It is just playing from 2 different IPs at the same time.
Doesn't matter if it is as long as China and South Africa, or your house and your neighbors house.
And even then it just kicks you, it doesn't ban.

If you disconnect your router for 10 sec, you sometimes get an other IP depending on your ISP.
So it would be bad if Blockland would ban you for that.

Badspot has said that it's only if it's like, unreasonable geographical jumps in short periods of time. Back and forth especially.
