thoughts? i played autumn leaves when it first came out and i could tell there was something going on with this quest in far harbor. i like fallout 4 as a game but this is just unacceptable

I played Autumn Leaves when it first came out as well, either this is one huge coincidence or Bethesda actually literally took all of the ideas and just made their own version of it in Fallout 4. But it's too similar so I'm going with the second answer.

I played Autumn Leaves and the quest in FO4 are both damn near indistinguishable. When I first started the quest on FO4 I noticed the similarities right away.

The modder said he is entirely okay with it, and by terms of modding Fallout (or at least using the creation kit, unsure if the Mod Author used it) they have rights to use everything in it. Regardless, it was kind of stuffty to not credit the original author. But it was by no means illegal, unfortunately.
