Author Topic: [Modeling help] - Model screw-up, looking ridiculous in-game.  (Read 720 times)

This is related to this post.

Eclipse5062 and I are working on a player type pack, and one of the issues is that this particular problem comes up during exports.
As I stated, he uses Blender 2.77, and uses Port's Exporter.

He can explain the rest. But question is, how would we avoid something like this from happening?

cant imagine what's going on there; i got the obj files you sent me so i'll give them a once over see how things are i guess

haven't gotten to it cause project i had due last weekend took longer than expected and midterm was today so i had to prepare. i presume you guys exported without any animations?

Yeah. Eclipse was unable to do so, since this particular model is already deformed. According to ArmyUnit, Port's exporter is able to export .Dsq files, but it isn't good for armature or deformed models and such.

Btw, this model isn't at all related to the files I sent you, Conan, so you're good.

I re-sized the model down to a .8 scale a bit larger then a 2x2 Brick but the same issue still happens, its either the model is glitched in someway or the DTS Exporter might be taking the data wrongly either way, this is a very odd thing happning

you need to apply scale after resizing your model and before animating

ctrl-a after selecting your whole model. apply location and rotation too while youre at it
